Aidrivers, a provider of autonomous mobility solutions for industrial applications, will integrate RoboSense’s smart lidar sensor technology into its autonomous driving systems, following the announcement of a system integration partnership between the two companies.
Aidrivers’ fully autonomous navigation system for industrial horizontal transportation applications at port terminals utilises 3D mapping and localisation for precision positioning and situation cognisance. It now uses RoboSense’s 3D lidar sensor technology to collect environment information at near and far distance and under different weather conditions.
“We have been testing trailer vehicles under heavy rain and harsh weather conditions and our precision positioning system based on true 3D mapping and localisation systems provides accurate localisation results,” said Aidrivers founder and CEO, Rafiq Swash. “The point cloud data quality in rainy days is excellent and outperforming state-of-the-art.

Aidrivers and Sany have also recently partnered to deliver autonomous electric vehicles, specifically industrial horizontal transport solutions, for the Chinese market.
