Some 150 of the UK’s best and brightest transportation professionals are confirmed to attend the second annual CiTTi Awards tonight!
Guests of the event, which will take place today [Tuesday 26 November 2024] at the historic De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in central London, will include local, regional and central government policymakers and other place stakeholders – including landowners, developers, and business improvement districts – and their project partners, such as architects, planners, contractors, and technology companies from the length and breadth of the UK.
The winners of CiTTi Awards 2024 will be revealed by renowned Irish stand-up comedian, Andrew Ryan following a dazzling three-course gala dinner held within the impressive surrounds of the Grand Hall, which features arched ornate ceilings, beautiful wood-panelling and dramatic chandeliers.
With 115 shortlisted entries from 100 organisations across 20 categories set be highlighted, the trophy-giving ceremony promises to be a true celebration of some of the most fantastic efforts and success stories from the past 12 months.
Indeed, CiTTi Awards 2024 will highlight achievements and innovations in active travel, clean air, congestion reduction, electric vehicle charging, fleet innovation, last-mile delivery, public transport, road safety, shared mobility and smart parking.
New categories set to be highlighted at the CiTTi Awards for the very first time include the AI Data Analytics Award, Ticketing & Payments Award, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Award, Mobility-as-a-Service Award, Micromobility Award, Urban Air Mobility Award, Transportation Education and Advocacy Award, Clean Air Initiative of the Year, Traffic Management Award, Alternative Fuels Award, and City or Town of the Year Award.
Unlike any other transport-based awards, the CiTTi Awards specifically celebrates the hard work and innovation demonstrated by UK-based organisations in enabling the clean, safe and efficient movement of people, goods and materials through urban environments.
This year’s ceremony and public announcement of the winners follows a thorough and exacting judging process, which saw more than 20 transport industry experts evaluate a combination of written entries and face-to-face presentations.
