Alexander Dennis, a British bus manufacturer, has announced that Manchester Airport has deployed two of its new, low-carbon Enviro200 single deck buses in its customer transport fleet.
The new British-built, 10.8m (35.4ft) buses are reportedly equipped with bespoke luggage storage. The vehicles were also designed with Alexander Dennis’ SmartPack efficiency technology to support reduced emissions.
These latest vehicles were purchased directly from the manufacturer by the airport and will join a similar pair leased earlier in 2022. The airport claims a fifth Enviro200 has also been ordered.
Hardik Modha, head of customer transport at Manchester Airport, said: “Modern and easily accessible buses are an important part of our service delivery for our customers and we’re pleased to be able to put these two new Alexander Dennis buses into service for the busy summer months.”
