Reading Buses has taken delivery of two electric single-decker buses from manufacturers Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL).
These latest zero-emission buses are 11.8m long and are fitted with SmartSeats and USB chargers. The Enviro200 buses will go into service at the company’s Thames Valley Buses subsidiary.
Reading Buses chief executive officer, Robert Williams, said: “We’re delighted to take delivery of these two new buses – taking the total to three Enviro200 that we’ve added to our fleet in the last few months to upgrade our high profile route 194 between Bracknell and Camberley. All are equipped with modern features that will be of great benefit to our customers.”
Reading Buses are a regular customer of ADL and in December 2021 took delivery of an identical Enviro200 bus for Thames Valley Buses and a Plaxton Leopard coach for its Newbury & District operations.
ADL sales account manager, Mark Taylor, added: “It’s always a pleasure working with the team at Reading Buses and I know these high-quality buses will serve the business and their customers very well.”
