British bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis has announced that UK-based facility services provider Vertas has added seven of its Plaxton coaches to its passenger transport fleet.
The seven vehicles include six Plaxton Leopard coaches and a Plaxton Panther models. All of these will comprise are part of Vertas’ fleet, which it claims to use to transport more than 1,250 school students on behalf of Suffolk County Council each day.
All of the new coaches are reportedly 12.8m (42ft) long, built on Volvo B8R chassis and meet PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR) with destination displays and side-mounted wheelchair lifts.
WHat’s more, while the Plaxton Panther seats up to 61 in a two plus two arrangement, the six Plaxton Leopard coaches have a three plus two layout, with up to 72 available seats.
