The companies have sighed a signed a Joint Purpose Agreement (JPA) and will be working together to utilise the Internet of Things for purposes of public safety and customer connectivity.

He continues: “By applying data analysis across selected app platform with Cisco’s AppDynamics, Telenor Group will have an opportunity to explore real-time view of apps’ performance to deliver better customer experiences.”
The collaboration between both companies will also aid Telenor Group’s leadership within smart cities in Norway and will help to utilise the company’s existing connectivity in the city, such as Wi-Fi, WAN and mobile connectivity, to then explore next-generation model that will connect, protect and empower societies.
Telenor Group will extract, compute and move data from connected things to different applications by using Cisco’s data platform, Cisco Kinetic. This will also allow for potential business benefits to be explored.
“Digitization of societies requires new ways of working and new partnerships,” says chief technology officer Ruza Sabanovic, Telenor Group, “We’re excited about taking our collaboration with Cisco to the next level, setting up a joint lab environment to explore Smart City solutions with one of Norway’s largest municipalities – exploring different approaches to connect our customers to what matters most in all stages of their daily lives.”
