Swedish micromobility operator Voi will provide discounted rides to and from Covid-19 vaccination sites across the UK.
According to the e-scooter provider, more than 97% of the country’s population lives within 10 miles of a vaccine service in cities and towns where Voi operates.
To be eligible, e-scooter trips must start or end at one of the vaccination sites listed on the NHS website. Riders can claim an £8 discount voucher via the Voi app and must enter a promo code. The discount will run until the vaccination programme is completed.
Richard Corbett, general manager, UK, Ireland and Benelux at Voi, said: “As the vaccination programme is extended to other age groups, we want to make sure that people can make it to these really important appointments quickly and conveniently.
“We are delighted to offer discounts to people travelling to vaccination sites, supporting this essential healthcare programme which will help us to get back to normal life more quickly and our towns and cities to recover.”
Since November 2020, Voi has offered NHS and emergency service workers unlimited free rides through its Voi 4 Heroes programme.
So far, over 73,600 free rides have been taken by NHS staff and key workers in the 17 towns and cities Voi operates in, including Northampton, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Bath, Cambridge, Oxford, Kettering, West Bromwich, Portsmouth and Southampton.
