Pure Electric, an e-scooter brand, is now available to purchase from Currys, a UK-based technology retailer.
This partnership is reportedly the first time Pure has worked with a major UK retailer. The brand has secured more than 150 stores across France and Spain through its collaboration with retailer Fnac Darty.
Pure Air is now available in 66 Currys stores across the UK and Ireland, including through next day click and collect. The Pure Air Pro model can also be purchased though Currys online.
Dan Grech, chief commercial officer at Pure Electric, said: “This partnership with Currys represents our commitment to growing our omni-channel experience and making micromobility an accessible option for everyone.
“We’re also proud to design and engineer all our products in the UK, so it only felt right to partner with a UK retailer who is passionate about getting the latest technology to those who need it.
“Stocking our e-scooters in Currys opens up a lower cost commute for consumers when appropriate regulation is introduced, which not only brings a new transport option to the forefront during the cost-of-living crisis, but also has a direct benefit in improving urban pollution and congestion, positively impacting local communities.”
The Pure Air and Pure Air Pro have been developed to cater to a range of budgets, experience and usage levels and other consumer needs. While privately owned e-scooters are not currently legal in public spaces in the UK, the availability of these e-scooters in Currys will support UK users who wish to use these vehicles on private land.
Pure Electric’s e-scooters are now available in Currys stores, online, or through its flagship store in Spitalfields.
