Allstar Business Solutions Limited (Allstar), a fuel and electric vehicle (EV) solutions company, has announced a new partnership with Connected Kerb, a chargepoint provider.
The strategic partnership means that Allstar’s charging card for both fuel and electricity, Allstar One Electric, will now be accepted at an additional 912 long stay chargers at 189 locations across Connected Kerb’s UK charging network.
Connected Kerb is particularly concerned with long-stay charging, with its chargepoints often found on roadsides and in residential areas, as well as in hotel carparks and leisure parks.
The collaboration should allow Allstar to expand its road-based offering for those that need overnight charging for fleet vehicles but do not have at-home chargers.
Some 60% of current UK residents do not have access to a driveway or are unable to install a charger at home, potentially hindering the adoption of EVs.
The two companies therefore hope this partnership supports the increased availability of long-stay charging, further helping fleet operators and their employees to electrify their vehicles.
Chris Pateman-Jones, CEO of Connected Kerb, said: “With a focus on providing affordable, reliable and accessible long-dwell charging point infrastructure across the UK, we aim to promote and accelerate the adoption of EVs and speed up the transition to a more sustainable future.
“Of course, we cannot do this alone, which is why we are delighted to partner with Allstar to increase EV adoption amongst the UK’s fleets.”
This partnership with Connected Kerb brings Allstar’s overall chargepoint total to more than 8,400 at more than 3,000 locations. Allstar’s network now includes: Geniepoint, Source London, ESB Energy, Osprey, Alfa Power, Franklin LiFe, Mer, Plug-N-Go, Charge My Street, Allego and Gridserve. Allstar hopes that its agreement with Connect Kerb will increase both the size and accessibility of its network for UK motorists.
