Allstar Business Solutions , an electric vehicle (EV) payment company, has announced a strategic partnership with Charge My Street, an EV chargepoint operator, with plans to add more than 100 new chargers across at least 50 locations.
As a result of the partnership, Allstar customers should now able to recharge EVs at any of its new chargers. This grows Allstar’s overall network size, which now reportedly amounts to more than 7,400 charge points across more than 2,700 locations.
Tom Rowlands, managing director of global EV solutions at Allstar, said: “Ensuring that all fleet drivers have the opportunity to transition to EVs is critical.
“That is why it’s so important that we consider all drivers’ needs and any barriers to entry that they may have.
“Working through how we can better support all drivers and fleets to ensure a frictionless and successful transition to EVs is our priority.
“That’s why it’s so important to join forces with the likes of Charge My Street, which will provide a convenient solution for those drivers that cannot have their own residential charge point.”
Charge My Street describes itself a social enterprise that installs and operates public EV chargers, which are funded through community investment.
The operator hopes to address a barrier to EV adoption by installing public chargepoints throughout residential areas to ensure motorists are no more than a five-minute walk from the nearest charger.
