Char.gy, a public chargepoint operator for electric vehicles (EVs) in the UK, has announced the installation of its 3,000th unit.
The milestone charging point is located in the London borough of Lambeth, where users will can access cost-saving opportunities, such as a night saver tariff, which offers reduced kWh rates for overnight charging.
John Lewis, CEO of Char.gy, said: “Our aim is to level the playing field for EV adoption by creating parity between drivers that have access to off-street parking and for the 40% of UK households that don’t.

The company provides local councils with an end-to-end partnership service, covering infrastructure planning, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
It’s range of chargepoint devices, designed and manufactured in the UK, can be fitted to existing on-street electricity infrastructure.
Char.gy installed its first public chargepoint in Marlow, Buckinghamshire in 2018, and is now capable of deploying 400 on-street chargepoints monthly.
The company said it aims to facilitate EV usage for more than one million drivers by 2030.
