BP Pulse charge points will be added to the Ford Pass network, bringing the total number of chargers to over 9,500 across the UK for Ford EV drivers.
The inclusion of the BP Pulse chargers to Ford’s network follows the addition of 3,000 existing chargers.
Ford said drivers of its new Mustang Mach E will benefit from five-years of free access to the Ford Pass charging network.
Mark Harvey, Ford’s European enterprise connectivity director, said: “Starting 2021 with the exciting Mustang Mach-E will accelerate Ford’s progress towards electrified engines accounting for more than half of our car sales by the end of 2022.
“Key to this roll-out is the supporting infrastructure available to Ford customers, and this announcement demonstrates our commitment to match more electrified vehicles with enough locations to charge them.”
Furthermore, Ford said its Pass customers will benefit from a further expansion of its UK’s EV charging network with the installation of six 350kW high-power Ionity chargers at Cobham Services.
Additionally, BP Pulse has won a contract to install 118 new charging points in the West Midlands. The new 7.4kW units will be accessible via the BP Pulse network on either a pay-as-you-go or membership basis.
