A free leaflet that debunks 19 common misconceptions on EVs and charging infrastructure has been made available by the UK government.
The guide from the Department for Transport (DfT) and Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), launched online and in print, provides a resource that can be downloaded and used to answer drivers’ questions on EVs.
While EV technology, vehicles and infrastructure have developed rapidly in recent years, the DfT and OZEV believe people still have lots of questions about the technology.
According to the leaflet, the transition to EVs will be a crucial step to achieving the UK’s net zero target, especially given that the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be phased out by 2030 and, from 2035, all new cars and vans must be zero emissions at the tailpipe.
The document also includes information and advice about towing, supply chains for battery materials and chargepoints.
