Sam Clarke, founder of London-based sustainable last-mile delivery service, Gnewt, will join Gridserve, developer of the UK’s first EV forecourt, at the end of April.
Clarke joins Gridserve as chief vehicle electrification officer and is responsible for helping people and businesses transition to using EVs in the earliest achievable timeframes, as well as developing relationships with fleet operators and EV manufacturers.
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Gridserve team for my next chapter in the UK’s vehicle electrification journey,” said Clarke.
“Their passion for the environment, achievements to date in solar and sustainable transport are exceptional.
“Furthermore, their ambitions for the future, fully align with my own and I am hugely excited to have the opportunity to once again help shape and influence the trajectory of our future mobility needs.”
Since creating green logistics specialist Gnewt, Clarke built the business running the UK’s largest fully EV commercial fleet and operating the largest privately-owned smart charging infrastructure network, before selling it to John Menzies Plc in 2017.
Clarke has also advised the London Mayor’s Office, Transport for London, the Transport Select Committee and the European Commission in Brussels.
