Sustainable energy company Gridserve and motorway services operator Moto are adding 17 high-power EV chargers to their network of UK Electric Super Hubs.
Six chargers have been unveiled at Moto Severn View on the M48 motorway near the village of Aust, northwest of Bristol, and 11 chargers at Moto Heston on the M4 between J2 and J3, near Hounslow.
Gridserve claims that the 350kW-capable high-power chargers, which are now online and ready to use, can deliver up to 100 miles of range in under 10 minutes.
All Electric Super Hubs at Moto locations have both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors and all charging points accept contactless payments and provide a minimum of one extra-wide accessible charging bay for every six EV charging spaces.
Real time updates will be available across EV charging maps, including Zap-Map, so drivers can check the availability of chargers before arriving on site.
Toddington Harper, CEO of Gridserve, said: “We’re building a robust, dependable, nationwide charging network so that anyone, anywhere, can feel confident about driving any type of electric vehicle and have a great charging experience.
“Gridserve is continuing to deliver on its mission to move the needle on climate change by providing the EV charging infrastructure required to help drivers make the switch from fossil fuels to electric in the swiftest possible time frames.”
There are high power chargers located at the following Moto service areas:
- Moto Rugby (12 350kW-capable chargers)
- Moto Swansea (six 350kW-capable chargers)
- Moto Exeter (12 350kW-capable chargers)
- Moto Burton in Kendal (six 350kW-capable chargers)
- Moto Thurrock (12 350kW-capable chargers)
- Moto Severn View (six 350kW-capable chargers)
- Moto Heston (11 350kW-capable chargers)
In addition to Moto Severn View’s newly launched high-powered EV charging hub, the site will retain its 60kW medium power Gridserve charger, as well as two untethered up to 22kW AC chargers.
