The London Borough of Harrow has installed 100 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the borough.
The EV chargepoints are hidden while not in use and are capable of fast charging up to 22kW.
The project, in partnership with Trojan Energy, is supported by funding from the government’s On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS).

The full programme is due to be completed later in the year.
London borough of Harrow cabinet member for finance and highways Marilyn Ashton said: “This will be welcoming news for residents.
“Not everyone has a driveway, so this is significant infrastructure that will help those charge their car near their home.
“It’s great for the environment, great for sustainable travel and doesn’t clutter the streets.
“This is one of many ways we are putting residents first, by making it easier for those thinking about switching to electric or hybrid.”
Achievements and innovations in EV charging point will be recognised and celebrated at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Visit www.cittiawards.co.uk to learn more about this unmissable event for the UK’s transportation sector!
