Milence, the joint venture between Daimler Truck, Traton Group, and Volvo Group, has officially launched its first UK public charging hub in Immingham.
The Immingham electric vehicle (EV) hub is situated on the A180 with direct access to the M180, M18, and M1 motorways.
Phase one of the Immingham hub will have four high-performance CCS chargers, providing access to eight charging bays and offering a power output of up to 400kW.
This news follows the UK officially passing 75,000 public EV chargepoints in February 2025.
By 2027, Milence aims to have at least 1,700 high-performance charging points across Europe and the UK.
CEO of Milence Anja van Niersen said: “The opening of our first UK charge hub in Immingham marks a significant step in the UK’s transition to electric road transport.
“This strategically located site underscores our commitment to providing reliable and accessible charging infrastructure for the growing number of electric truck operators.
“This is just the first step in our UK expansion, and we are dedicated to working with all stakeholders to accelerate the shift towards a sustainable future for the transport industry.”
Achievements and innovations in EV charging infrastructure will be recognised and celebrated at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. Visit www.cittiawards.co.uk to learn more about this unmissable event for the UK’s transportation sector!
