Electric vehicle (EV) rapid charging network provider InstaVolt has announced the opening of a 14-charger superhub at Syon Park in West London.
Offering speeds of up to 160kW, the superhub is situated three miles from the M4 motorway, close to Heathrow airport and the A316, which runs from the UK capital to the M3.
Cllr Katherine Dunne, deputy leader of Hounslow Council, the local authority for Syon Park, and cabinet member for climate, environment and transport, said: “We welcome the 14 new rapid-chargers at Syon Park.

“InstaVolt’s chargers complement our commitment to support residents to switch to an electric vehicle for journeys that cannot be completed by walking, cycling or public transport.
“These new EV chargers align with Hounslow Council’s commitment to bold climate action and mean that, together with residents, the council can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve local air quality; benefiting public health and helping to tackle the climate crisis.”
InstaVolt reportedly plans to install 11,000 chargers in the UK and Ireland, 5,000 across Spain and Portugal, and more than 300 in Iceland.
Achievements and innovations in EV charging infrastructure will be celebrated at the third annual CiTTi Awards, which will be held on 26 November 2024 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
