Islington Council has announced a £1.2m electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint scheme to install a range of AC, DC and high-speed chargers to support the local authority’s 550+ fully electric fleet.
The AC and DC chargers will be installed by Oxfordshire-based Compleo starting in early 2025 and completed over a two-year period.
The company will also be responsible for maintaining the chargers, which be used to replenish the council’s fleet of electric cars, coaches and tipper trucks.

“By electrifying our fleet, we are leading by example and showing that sustainability and efficiency can go hand in hand.”
