London-based vehicle hire firm Northgate has partnered with electric vehicle (EV) charging platform Monta to support its new EV and charger bundle package.
Rental customers of a year or more who choose an EV and charger package will now have full access to the Monta app and platform.
The Monta platform was designed to bring together domestic, commercial and public charging in a single-use app.
The EV firm’s network includes more than 14,000 UK chargepoints, which can be searched for through its app. Some of the platform’s smart charging features include the choice between renewable energy or lower cost charging tariffs.
The two companies report additional benefits for businesses who want to build a fleet or provide EVs as an employee benefit, including employer sponsorship of employees’ chargepoints and instant reimbursement for at-home charging.
What’s more, drivers can also pay through Google Pay, Apple Pay and a digital wallet that can be topped up by their employer.
According to the pair, as the platform can set up multiple payment methods for drivers using both personal and business payment cards, administration time is reduced for fleet managers.
“Northgate have created a convenient solution that makes EV ownership a breeze, by adding the Monta platform to the offer we’re presenting a truly end to end solution for EV owners,” said Alok Dubey, UK country manager at Monta.
“We’re proud to work with partners who innovate and share our goal of making EV charging more accessible.”
Northgate’s ’12months+’ contract includes vehicle rental of between 12 and 60 months for electric vehicles, including any livery or racking and full servicing, maintenance and breakdown cover and charges a fixed monthly cost.
