Chargepoint operator Zest has opened an electric vehicle (EV) charging facility in Oscott, Birmingham.
Zest reports that the new rapid charging spaces are next to independent shops on the junction of the Aldridge and Birdbrook roads.
Based in Leeds, Zest works in partnership with local authorities and the real estate sector across the UK, the latest round of EV chargers in partnership with Birmingham City Council’s green transition aims.
Birmingham City councillor Darius Sandhu, said: “This is an important development for Oscott as we work to build a cleaner, greener Birmingham.
“Access to reliable EV infrastructure is key to encouraging more residents to make the switch to electric vehicles.
“Zest’s community charger provides the necessary infrastructure needed to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the transition to sustainable transport.”
