Rightcharge, charge point and energy tariff comparison service, has partnered with car leasing site Leasing.com, with the aim of assisting UK drivers transition to EVs.
The agreement will see Rightcharge become Leasing.com’s recommended partner to help its customers find the best possible deals on home chargers which are compatible with newly leased EVs.
Following the UK government’s announcement that it will ban the sale of new petrol and diesel engine vehicles from 2030, the leasing of EVs has continued to increase in popularity. According to the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) five million vehicles on Britain’s roads today are leased, with nearly two million of those being for individual, or personal, contracts.
Leasing rather than buying, is seen by many as a viable option for those looking to move away from petrol and diesel vehicles, because it enables motorists to test out EV technology without long-term ownership commitments, according to the partnership.
The Rightcharge platform has been designed to offer Leasing.com’s customers a tailored comparison of home charge points, combined with recommended installers for domestic chargers.
Later this year, the partnership will also mean that Leasing.com’s customers could reduce energy bills by over £150 a year by switching to an EV-friendly energy tariff and scheduling for the off-peak hours with a smart charge point.

The announcement is the latest from Rightcharge after it partnered with Lookers, one of the UK’s largest car retailers, last month.
