Sund & Baelt, a Danish transportation and infrastructure operating company, has awarded Neology and ITS Teknik a five-year contract to deliver multiple ANPR enforcement technologies in five low-emission zones (LEZs) across Denmark.
Neology is a US provider of ANPR/ALPR solutions for mobility, public safety, tolling and associated AI markets, while ITS-Teknik provides ITS and services for Danish road traffic market.
Neology’s AI-driven platform chosen for the project is a CAZaaS (Clean Air Zone-as-a-Service) solution comprising Iris fixed ANPR cameras and Golden Eagle mobile platforms using deep-learning optical character recognition technology. It detects and enforces vehicles entering LEZs 24 hours per day, 365 days per week.
Luke Normington, managing director of Neology,” said: “The Sund & Baelt contract builds upon years of experience delivering tolling and enforcement solutions across the world, including some of the largest tolling, congestion pricing and emission zone projects.
“Using our latest AI technology provides mobility operators such as Sund & Baelt the ability to maximise the impact of their transportation schemes, improving road user experience whilst making the Danish roads safer and cleaner.”
