The ceremony for the second annual CiTTi Awards will take place at the stunning De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in central London on 21 November 2023, it has been announced.
Standing on Great Queen Street, which connects Covent Garden with Holborn in the West End of London, the Grade II listed building has a history dating back to 1775 and was once home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern before becoming a hotel in 1909.
Since then, the venue has hosted some of the world‘s leading politicians, royalty and celebrities with its grand Georgian architecture, original features and art-deco interiors. It was also featured in the most recent season of BBC One’s The Apprentice.
This year’s CiTTi Awards ceremony will be attended by 200-300 UK transport professionals from local/central government and other place stakeholders – including landowners, developers, and business improvement districts – and their project partners, such as architects, planners, contractors, and technology companies.

John Thornton, editor of CiTTi Magazine, said: “This year’s CiTTi Awards will be bigger and better, with more entries, more categories, more judges and more finalists.
“And I’m delighted to announce that we’ve found the perfect venue to recognise and highlight the hard work and innovation demonstrated by organisations in enabling the clean, safe and efficient movement of people, goods and materials through urban environments in the UK.
