Westminster City Council’s councillor and cabinet member for city management and air quality, Paul Dimoldenberg, has been announced as a speaker at CiTTi Conference 2024!
Set to take place on Tuesday 10 September 2024 at 30 Euston Square in London, the CiTTi Conference is organised by CiTTi Magazine and will and provide an exciting new platform for urban mobility and transportation professionals to discuss, learn and debate the latest legislative and regulatory policies driving the development and implementation of next-generation urban mobility solutions.
At the one-day event Dimoldenberg will reveal how city councils across the UK can move toward deploying next-generation waste and cleansing fleets by presenting Westminster City Council’s involvement in the second phase of a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) charging trial designed to enable electric refuse collection trucks to power UK homes by feeding stored energy from the vehicle batteries back to the grid.
Dimoldenberg, who has been cabinet member for city management and air quality at Westminster City Council since May 2022, will detail how the transition to cleaner fleets can be achieved by identifying and robustly testing potential fleet technologies, such as hydrogen, electric, natural gas and HVO, in a real-world environment.
He’ll also discuss the planning and development of strategic depots and charging infrastructure, as well as the importance of supplier relationships.
Dimoldenberg is one of a number of transport experts confirmed to speak at CiTTi Conference 2024, which will see exclusive case-study presentations and in-depth panel discussions explore the latest industry developments and future thinking from growing towns and major cities around the UK.
