Canadian car sharing service provider Evo Car Share has launched a new pilot in agreement with the City of Vancouver that allows members to park Evo vehicles for free at metered parking spaces in Vancouver.
Evo members can park in a home zone for free at one of 10,077 metres in the City of Vancouver and Evo will cover the cost.
Currently, the free metered parking pilot for Evo cars is only available in the City of Vancouver and does not including parking at meters with ‘no stopping’ rules.
Tai Silvey, vice president of Evo Car Share, said: “We’re passionate about making Evo’s car share experience the very best it can be. Our members always appreciate access to free, convenient parking options. As a locally-owned car share service, we worked closely with the City of Vancouver to make this happen.”
Created by British Columbia Automobile Association, Evo has a fleet of over 1,500 hybrid vehicles in several Lower Mainland communities including Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby and New Westminster.
