Daimler Trucks has announced that two all-electric Fuso eCanter vehicles are now operating in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen.
Danish transport minister Benny Engelbrecht handed over both vehicles to customers Citylogistik and Aarstiderne, who were seeking zero-emission, zero-noise transport solutions for inner-city distribution.
Christoph Fitz, head of sales and marketing, Fuso Europe, Daimler Trucks, said: “Urbanisation is a major global trend increasing the demand for goods in cities rapidly.

“With every new metropolis in Europe that the eCanter drives in, we make a lasting contribution not only to visualising the future of logistics in the city, but also to put it through its paces.”
With a range of 100km (62 miles), the 7.49-tonne light-duty truck has been specifically designed to meet inner-city short-range distribution requirements.
The Fuso eCanter is the world’s first all-electric light-duty truck in small-series production.
It is currently running in nine European cities in Germany, the UK, France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Denmark.
