Electric cargo bike logistics company Zedify has entered administration after it failed to acquire new funding.
Founded in 2018, Zedify’s operational shutdown could lead to the loss of more than 100 jobs with only the Cambridge and Edinburgh hubs remaining open while administrators explore options for these sites.
Meanwhile, Zedify’s Bristol hub is operated by a different legal entity and will continue to trade.
In 2024, Zedify secured £4m investment from Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital, Mercia Ventures, the Midlands Engine Investment Fund and Green Angel Syndicate to upscale operations.
This enabled them to expand to their 10th city, Birmingham, by the end of the year with plans to expand operations to 50 cities in the next few years.
Zedify’s administration will be handled by Interpath, as appointed to Zedify’s parent company, Outspoken Logistics.
Achievements and innovations in urban logistics/last-mile delivery will be recognised and celebrated at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
