Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services GmbH is extending its “connected business” offering to now include a “Driver Messaging” service. Mercedes-Benz has launched this service to cater to the needs of fleet managers in a world where future mobility solutions are heavily invested in connected vehicles.
The “Driver Messaging” allows fleet managers and drivers to communicate securely and efficiently between themselves, to quickly pass on information such as maintenance or wheel-change appointments to the drivers. Users can send messages to individual drivers or groups via the “connected business” app. The app has intelligent search functions and enables the creation of driver and vehicle groups with easy recipient selection. Likewise, all the data that is fleet-relevant is pooled together and appears on the “connect business” platform, allowing the fleet to be controlled centrally.
The “connected business” was first launched almost a year ago and since then 15,000 vehicles have been connected. Likewise, since the beginning of the year the services have been extended to Belgium and the Netherlands. Christoph Ludewig, head of Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services Gmb says: “”The market launch of ‘connect business’ was very successful. Our connectivity services help fleet and business customers in their daily work.
He continues: “We want to continue growing with ‘connect business’. To this end, we are extending our portfolio to include further services and rolling out our offering in further markets.”
