Polish public logistics limited company InPost has acquired UK parcel and delivery service company Yodel following £106m in financing to Yodel’s parent company.
InPost now holds a 95.5% stake in Judge Logistics Ltd, with PayPoint retaining a minority stake of 4.5%.
InPost reports that the acquisition will enable it to deliver more than 300 million parcels annually, immediately expanding its merchant base to more than 500 e-commerce stores.
Yodel’s acquisition follows a string of InPost takeovers and startups including the acquisition of Menzies Distribution (October 2024), the launch of its “locker-to-door” partnership with Yodel (October 2024), and its commitment to invest £600m in its UK operations.
The InPost network is reportedly one of Europe’s largest automated parcel collection and delivery systems, with almost 50,000 modern APMs and over 34,000 PUDO points in 9 European countries, with 10,000 APMs across the UK.
Founder, and CEO of InPost Group Rafał Brzoska said: “This acquisition marks a pivotal milestone in
InPost’s journey to revolutionise the UK delivery market as well as the Group pan-European presence.
“We have just fast-forwarded 5 years of organic expansion in the UK and it is a clear reflection of our long-term
commitment to this market, a market where we see enormous opportunity for growth.
“Our logistics model has transformed delivery in other European markets, and with this acquisition, we are now well positioned to do the same here.”
