Ford Motor Company’s micromobility unit, Spin, has launched a subscription service to enable e-scooter riders to take their rental scooter home for £55 per month.
The announcement of Spin+ follows the launch of Spin’s latest e-scooter trial in Basildon, Essex.
As private e-scooters remain illegal on public roads, Spin said its subscription service will enable users to gain access to an e-scooter for a longer term.
The subscription will include exclusive access to insurance, a helmet, charging cable, 24/7 customer support and maintenance.
Under the terms and conditions of the subscription, the e-scooter must be kept indoors in a secure location on private premises and locked at all times when not in use to minimise theft or damage.
The waitlist for theSpin+ subscription service is now open with availability beginning in January 2021.
