Kapsch TrafficCom AG has developed and released a smartphone app for viaTOLL, one of eight national electronic tolling systems in Poland.
The new app is free to download and is available for both iOS and Android systems. It enables users to check the balance of their viaTOLL account, add credit, and locate Customer Service Facilities.
The app was developed in collaboration bewteen Kapsch and the Polish road authority (GDDKiA), and aims to provide road users with more services and transparency in the tolling process. “We see a growing need to make traffic management and tolling more user-centered,” commented Georg Kapsch, CEO of Kapsch TrafficCom. “Smartphones are an integral part of everyday life, so we are constantly seeking ways to integrate mobile devices into our traffic management solutions to offer real added value services to road-users.”
