The European Parking Association (EPA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) group MaaS Alliance.
The partnership has been established to help both organisations share expertise and to work toward more scalable and sustainable mobility services, as well as developments on the field’s use of data.
The EPA and MaaS Alliance hope to collaborate on technical projects to support MaaS development, while also looking at the opportunities for the service to be deployed in a range of environments.
One of the wider goals of the work is to create a standard framework for the global adoption of MaaS technology.
The pair hope to support data-driven decisions across the sector and to raise general awareness and understanding.
They also plan to co-host knowledge-sharing events such as workshops, roundtables and webinars for the MaaS community.
The EPA is an international non-profit registered in Germany that aims to help parking operators liaise with European governments, help its members to knowledge share and to influence the European Commission and other international bodies’ policies on parking and urban mobility.
The MaaS Alliance is a public-private partnership seeking to establish the groundwork for a standardised approach to MaaS to help implement the service in Europe and around the world.
