In August, Hull City Council launched a city-wide transport survey, which it claims was the city’s biggest-ever, to improve understanding of citizens’ concerns around transport services and roads.
So far, reportedly more than 21,000 residents have participated, with the local authority commissioning the University of Hull to support its analysis of responses.
Mike Ross, councillor and leader of Hull City Council, said: “Thank you to everyone who has responded to this survey – it’s a genuinely massive response, and shows clearly how keen people are to have their say.
“The council has a well-established partnership arrangement with the University of Hull, and we’re delighted they’re working with us to make sure every response is properly reviewed.”
The university’s support and the printing, distribution and return of the survey are being partially funded from savings made after the discontinuation of the Love Hull magazine.
