Fleet management and telematics company Trakm8 is providing free access to its latest route optimisation tool during the government lockdown to support transport operators amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
With demand spikes throughout a number of supply chains, including PPE and groceries, the company said maintaining and improving operational efficiency through AI-based route planning is now paramount to supporting British SMEs.
“This will ensure that businesses are best placed to bounce back when the market restrictions are lifted,” Trakm8 said in a statement.
Trakm8’s Insight Optimisation route planning solution uses big data to reportedly reduce fuel expenditure by up to 20% and increase productivity by up to 33%.
The free period of Trakm8’s tool can be redeemed at any point during the government lockdown, with no contractual obligations thereafter.
Peter Mansfield, group sales and marketing director at Trakm8, said: “At critical moments like these, it’s paramount that supply chains keep moving and goods get where they need to be.
“By making our route planning product free to anyone who needs it, we hope to provide some extra support to those on the front line.”
