Transport for London (TfL) has announced that technology firm IFS will be the new sponsor of London’s only cable car from October onwards.
The London Cable Car will now be sponsored by IFS for at least two years and will be renamed the IFS Cloud Cable Car.
The two cable car terminals will be given new titles, the IFS Cloud Greenwich Peninsula and IFS Cloud Royal Docks, respectively. The rebranding from the previous sponsor is planned for completion by October.
Josh Crompton, head of the London Cable Car at TfL, said: “Over the last ten years, we have seen the London Cable Car attract tens of millions of visitors and secure its place as a must-visit UK attraction.
“The partnership with IFS is an exciting opportunity to continue to build on the success of the most unique part of London’s skyline.”
There have reportedly been tens of millions of journeys made on the London Cable Car since its opening in 2012, which has boosted regeneration in both the Royal Docks and Greenwich Peninsula.
