The city of Milton Keynes, located in Buckinghamshire, has awarded a new contract to maintain and improve its road infrastructure to Ringway, a Vinci Construction subsidiary in the UK.
The new contract will run from September 2024 for an initial period of eight years, with two possible extension periods of two years each.
Worth around €29m (£25m) per year, the contract will include all routine and seasonal road maintenance, safety inspections, emergency response and a variety of road improvements.
Over the maximum period of 12 years, the contract would equate to an investment of around €230m (£200m).
Construction company Ringway has been responsible for maintaining Milton Keyne’s 1,100km (683.5 miles) of carriageways and 1,800km (1,118 miles) of footways since 2014.
