The 13th RUC Conference opened in beautiful Belgian sunshine with a packed house of delegates and an international flavour.
The day was chaired by Wouter van Haaften, who kicked off the day discussing the need for acceptance by the public for pricing schemes
Discussing a variety of topics in the road pricing sector, the first session discussed the home nation’s new tolling scheme for trucks due to be launched April 1 this year. Scheme operator VIAPASS vice president Bert Dewandeleer discussed the current situation and the political context within Belgium.
