Kapsch TrafficCom has announced a contract with Danish EETS toll service provider BroBizz.
Under the agreement, Kapsch will supply its GNSS-based tolling solution, including OBUs and satellite platform services.
The five-year deal, which was signed in July 2023, includes a potential 12-month extension.
It comes ahead of Denmark’s forthcoming introduction of GNSS-based tolling for heavy goods vehicles weighing over 12 tonnes.
From 01 January 2025, the scheme will span all primary Danish roadways and low emission zones (LEZs) throughout the country.

The GNSS-based tolling system reportedly allows for a more flexible tolling scheme that caters to different road types.
Urban roads, for instance, can be tolled differently than non-urban routes, allowing for more targeted and equitable road usage pricing.
