Emovis, part of Abertis Mobility Services, a provider of road mobility solutions, has announced the launch of a new back-office solution for transport agencies, road authorities and local councils.
The Commercial Back Office, powered by Odoo, has been developed to intelligently manage customers and revenue streams in a cost-effective way.
Using open-source technology, the solution provides customer registration and cancellation; customer account updates; enforcement of unregistered users; account receivables payment; dunning bad debt and recovery; general ledger interface (financial and accounting); invoicing and collection; customer relationship management; tag inventory management; business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
What’s more, implementation time is around 30% less than with conventional commercial back-office systems.

The Odoo open-source platform underpinning the Commercial Back Office comprises a suite of interconnected business management software tools that support financial products.

Used by other business domains, including utilities, transportation and insurance, it is a cloud native application based on standard web technologies, thus removing issues related to technology obsolescence.
