A father was left outraged with his son following an $18,000 (€16,500) bill for unpaid tolls and fines. Tom Rose from Poulsbo, Washington says that his son crossed the 520 bridge in Seattle every day to get to work and had forgotten to open an account with the bridge operator, Good To Go. Mr Rose protested that he had never received a bill and was only made aware of the staggering sum owed when he tried to sell the car. The bill included $1,360 (€1,245) in toll charges and more than $16,000 (€14,650) in penalties. The pair appealed to Good To Go against the sum, but were told to contact an administrative judge and advised that their appeal would probably not be successful.
