Sice has been appointed to the the Road Pricing Infrastructure Panel for the New Zealand Transport Agency’s (NZTA) Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) Infrastructure Solution.
As part of this panel, Sice will provide turnkey roadside equipment infrastructure to support the NZ road tolling system and future MLFF tolling sites.

Under this contract, Sice will provide Waka Kotahi with a nationwide tolling solution based on Sice’s in-house tolling platform solution, OCBOS, consisting of Tolling Operation Back Office System (TOS), Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) and Billing System (BIS).

This OCBOS solution will be cloud-based and delivered through a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, with Sice providing support and maintenance for Waka Kotahi toll operations for an initial period of 5 years, extendable up to 14 years.
With the expected duration of the contract extending up to 10 years, the appointment of Sice is hoped to improve New Zealand’s tolling and congestion charging system development.
