Slovakia based road infrastructure company SkyToll and the ministry of transport of the Republic of Tajikistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the development of Tajikistan’s road infrastructure.
Under this MoU, both parties have committed to collaboratively working on the framework definition, legislative impacts, and operational aspects of the project.
The project, titled ‘Satellite-based Electronic Tolling and Enforcement System Including Operational Services in the Territory of Tajikistan’, was signed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Minister of transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrohim, said: “A fundamental premise for developing transportation infrastructure is securing financial resources for the ongoing maintenance and restoration of roads, bridges, and other structures.
“These investments will not only transform Tajikistan’s infrastructure but also bring significant benefits to the entire region.”

The ministry of transport of Tajikistan will be responsible for providing the necessary land, approvals, and governmental support, including legislative adjustments.
Both parties have agreed to cover their respective costs associated with the implementation of the MoU.
