Tolling services provider Tolltickets has announced the launch of its services in Poland, furthering its EETS coverage of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in major European logistics centres.
With the addition of Poland’s e-toll network, Tolltickets users are now able to drive from Gdańsk to Ghent with a single on-board device and invoice.
What’s more, with more than 1.2 million HGVs required to pay tolls – 55% of which are registered in a foreign country – Poland is regarded as both an important transit country and one of Europe’s leading distribution hubs.
Quentin Couret, COO of Tolltickets, said: “By successfully adding Poland to our growing list of countries, we are delighted to be able to cover the strategically important East to West corridor through Germany, in addition to our existing North to South corridor through Hungary and Bulgaria.”
The announcement follows Tolltickets’ recent expansion into Belgium and Scandinavian countries, which means the company now provides fully interoperable tolling services across nine European countries, with more to be announced soon.
