Mobility intelligence firm Inrix and mapping and location services provider Here Technologies are partnering to create a parking solution featuring on- and off-street availability, dynamic pricing and indoor mapping.
The end-to-end system will combine’s Inrix’s real-time traffic analysis data and Here’s location services and learned behaviours, such as price versus walking distance, to allow a driver to navigate to an available parking spot. It will also allow EV drivers to find parking that includes a charging point.
Drivers will be able to switch the solution to a companion mobile app for continued mapping inside a building, for example an airport. The app also features a find-my-car tool.
According to Inrix, the connected vehicle service will harness its static and dynamic on-street parking data in more than 1,100 cities throughout 65 countries and off-street parking data in more than 20,000 cities across 150 countries.
Bryan Mistel, president and CEO of Inrix, said: “Our goal has always been to create best-in-class mobility solutions, and our continuing and growing partnership with Here takes us one step closer. The combined reach of our innovation, coverage and expertise will help drivers around the world find parking smarter and faster.”
