Transport for London is to launch its fourth year of Cycle Grants London funding to encourage Londoners to take up cycling by offering over £240,000 in funding to over 30 projects.
The grants are aimed at supporting underrepresented group in cycling that may not necessarily have access to bikes due to income, health and skills.
Projects include cycle training, loan bikes, guided rides and courses to teach basic cycle maintenance.
The projects will receive up to £10,000 over three years.
“We’re working hard to make cycling more accessible for everyone,” said TfL director of diversity and inclusion Staynton Brown. “As we enter the fourth year of this scheme, we hope to encourage even more Londoners of all ages and backgrounds to take up cycling, improving their wellbeing and London’s air quality and congestion.”
