Road User Charging Conference 2024 partner Verra Mobility is to provide European credit management company Intrum with data-led enforcement solutions to identify traffic-related contraventions committed by foreign registered vehicles across Europe.
With the market for free-flow tolling and ANPR solutions continuing to expand, the collaboration aims to provide a solution to mitigate the growing risk of unpaid contraventions and better manage cross-border traffic.
“The European market has witnessed a surge in congestion charging, low emission zones, tolling and smart parking initiatives, which has resulted in an increasing number of traffic-related contraventions by foreign registered vehicles,” said Tsjerk-Friso Roelfzema, general manager for Europe at Verra Mobility.

“Intrum was searching for a partner with the expertise to enhance its capabilities to identify these vehicles and recoup unpaid fines, late payments, and associated fees, and we are thrilled to partner and provide those critical services.”
Verra Mobility said it will utilise its network and relationships with vehicle licensing authorities across Europe to address the issue and, ultimately, deliver more compliant transportation and mobility systems.
