Bleutech Park Las Vegas, a US$7.5bn (£5.8bn) six-year ‘mini’ smart city project, will break ground in Las Vegas Valley in December 2019.
Upon completion, Bleutech Park Las Vegas will comprise net-zero buildings within their own insular mini-city, featuring automated multi-functional designs, renewable energies from solar/wind/water/kinetic, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, Internet of Things, robotics, supertrees, and self-healing concrete structures.
The mixed-use environment, to be built on a 210-acre piece of land at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, will feature workforce housing, offices, retail space, ultra-luxury residential, hotel and entertainment, and will introduce a new high-tech biome to the desert valley.
The project aims to create more than 25,000 jobs, including manufacturing roles, and provide on-the-job training programmes with the latest technology to train future construction workforces.
The land is being bought by Seven Valleys Realty and Construction. A ceremonial ground-breaking event is planned for December 7.
Tommy White, business manager and secretary treasurer of Las Vegas Laborers Union Local 872, said: “Laborers Local 872 is honoured to join with Bleutech in building this state-of-the-art development. This is going to be a project unlike any other and it is great to see Las Vegas step to the forefront.
“With cutting-edge technology, innovative training methods and exceptional speciality construction materials, we look forward to providing Bleutech with the skilled workforce required to achieve the excellence only this project will deliver.”
Bleutech Park Las Vegas is being backed by Bleutech Park Properties. Project partners include Martin-Harris Construction, Onyx Solar, Pavegan, PatriotOne Technologies.
