Waymo has partnered with Lyft to serve more riders in Metro Phoenix following the launch of its commercial self-driving ride-hailing service Waymo One last year.
Waymo will deploy 10 Waymo on Lyft over the next few months. Once Waymo vehicles are on the platform, Lyft users in the area will have the option to select a Waymo directly from the Lyft app for eligible rides.
Waymo will introduce Lyft users to Waymo Driver to and allow them to take their first ride in a self-driving vehicle. Likewise the partnership with Lyft will allow Waymo to collect valuable feedback.
